Position Summary
In collaboration with CAMcare Health Corporation, staff physicians, the Nurse Practitioner will provide primary care services to the patients of CAMCARE HEALTH CORPORATION that is consistent with established policies, procedures and protocols , the Joint Commission policies and procedures, OSHA standards, and other safety and health related codes and laws.
Responsibilities
Coordinates and manages individual patient care in collaboration with the Clinical Director of OG/GYN and staff physician.
Works cooperatively with all physicians and staff to carry out the goals and objectives of CAMCARE HEALTH CORPORATION, according to established policies and procedures.
Provides continuing care to assigned patients in the office setting, anticipating and recognizing deviations from normal, initiating treatment, and consulting with a physician as appropriate.
Orders diagnostic tests, medications and lab tests as indicated. Analyzes, interprets and synthesizes data and applies information to patient management.
Provides education and counseling for patients, families, and community groups on various health conditions.
Functions as a member of a multi-disciplinary health care team.
Assists with the development, implementation, and monitoring of clinic policies, procedures and protocols, as needed to achieve CAMCARE HEALTH CORPORATION goals and objectives.
Assists with the development, implementation, and monitoring of CAMCARE HEALTH CORPORATION Performance Improvement program.
Attends and actively participates in departmental and medical staff meetings as required.
Certifications and Licensures
Education and Experience
In-depth understanding of eye conditions and vision defects.
Hands-on experience with eye examination tools, such as ophthalmoscope and tonometer.
The ability to explain medical terms simply and calmly.
Attention to detail.
